We want buying from Le Vieux Faisan to be straightforward. These terms explain how we describe and sell our finds.
Products, condition & photographs
Many of our pieces are vintage, pre-owned, reclaimed or have spent time outdoors. They should not be expected to be in new condition unless we specifically say so. We photograph and describe each item individually and aim to highlight significant damage, repairs, wear or weathering known to us. Age-related marks, patina and surface variation can form part of a piece's character.
Photographs form part of the description. Where we use a styled or digitally prepared presentation image, we identify it as a presentation image and also show photographs of the actual item where available.
Age, origin & reproductions
We aim to describe the age, origin and authenticity of our pieces as accurately as reasonably possible. Where an item is known to be a reproduction, later copy or revival piece, we will clearly identify it as such. Where precise age, maker, origin or provenance cannot be established, our description will make this clear and should not be taken as a guarantee of age or provenance.
Prices & VAT
The price displayed is the item price. Le Vieux Faisan is not VAT registered and VAT is not added to our prices. Delivery, where required, is quoted separately and agreed before purchase.
Availability & ordering
Most pieces are one-off items and remain subject to availability. An enquiry does not reserve an item. Before purchase we will confirm availability, the item price and any agreed delivery charge. Payment is required before collection or dispatch, with PayPal our preferred payment method.
Collection, delivery & returns
Smaller and postable items will normally be sent by post or an appropriate parcel delivery service only, with collection not normally available. For larger, heavy, fragile or awkward pieces, weekend collection may be available by prior arrangement or an appropriate delivery service may be quoted. Our collection address is provided after purchase and payment. The arrangements stated on each individual product listing take precedence. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot legally be excluded, including your rights where goods are faulty or not as described.
